The Early Years Partnership and the BC Poverty Reduction Coalition is hosting an All-Candidates Forum on Poverty and Early Childhood Development for candidates in Kelowna and Lake Country including Mayoral candidates and City council candidates.

Public opinion polling shows that British Columbians believe poverty is one of the most important issues needing to be addressed in this province. This forum is an opportunity for candidates to let constituents know how they plan to address poverty and early childhood development at the local level.

This forum is part of a broader, coordinated initiative to drive awareness and action to reduce poverty in the Central Okanagan. Due to the timeliness of the topic and broad engagement of our community, organizers anticipate that this will be a well-attended event.

Panel and moderator format moderated by: Chris Walker of CBC Radio.

The forum will also be live-streamed on the BC Poverty Reduction Coalition Facebook page.
