Experience an evening featuring 50th Parallel Estate Winery’s award-winning wines with winemaker, Matthew Fortuna. Join Gather and experience a four-course dinner paired with five wine selections. The winery produces Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, and Chardonnay, and one heck of a refreshing rosé. And of course they excel at that heartbreak grape (which flourishes in Lake Country’s microclimate) Pinot Noir. We find their Pinot Noir refreshingly old-worldy, if that makes sense (it’s less fruity, more savoury and complex than many Okanagan Pinot Noirs).
Gather opened in September 2018 and is located at the base of the Innovation Centre. Gather is a neighbourhood Korean Italian restaurant that draws from both owners Chef Sung Ji Park and Luigi Coccaro’s heritage. The food speaks to Sung Ji Park’s traditional and, not-quite-traditional dishes he grew up eating with his family, while also paying tribute to his decade of culinary experience in fine Italian dining.
Gather is influenced by both Chef Sung Ji Park and Luigi Coccaro’s family connection as well, and was designed as a place where family, friends and colleagues are able to gather around a table, to share in a true culinary experience. The menu features a variety of small, medium and large plates that lends to sharing, as is customary in both Korean and Italian culture.
