How do we find planets? Even habitable ones around other stars? By looking for tiny dimming as a planet passes in front of its sun, Lucianne Walkowicz and the Kepler mission have found some 3,500 potential new planets.

In this passionate and electrifying talk, Walkowicz sheds light on how the thousands of newly discovered planetary systems might lead to the discovery of life beyond Earth, and how the future of our world depends on our connection to science.

Early bird tickets open Monday, September 9th at 9am and a second round of tickets will be released on Monday, September 23rd at 9am. Catch her talk Tuesday, October 1st at the Kelowna Community Theatre.
