People around the globe choose to move for many different reasons. Some do so in order to escape poverty, war, or persecution; others seek new opportunities to improve their quality of life. UBCO experts explore some of the major challenges and opportunities surrounding migration, including decision-making and methods of measurement, as well as human rights and Canadian foreign politics.

Featuring Ulf Brunnbauer, Director of the Leibniz-Institute for East and Southeast European Studies in Germany, and Bob Rae, former Premier of Ontario 1990-1995, and Interim Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada (2011-2013). Hosted by the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences and Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies, this event is open to the public and free, however online pre-registration is required.

At the UBCO University Theatre, ADM 026, 1138 Alumni Avenue.

January 24, 3:30pm - 5:30pm
