The Central Okanagan Refugee Committee Presents Journey, An Intimate Evening with Acclaimed Author Lawrence Hill.

Lawrence Hill, one of Canada’s most beloved authors, returns to Kelowna on behalf of the Central Okanagan Refugee Committee (CORC) on May 27th. Hill will be offering a reading and reflection on his works of fiction, including bestselling novels The Book of Negroes and The Illegal, both of which won Canada Reads competitions. Hill remains the only author to win this competitive national award twice.

The event is on May 27th at 7pm, hosted by First United Church at 721 Bernard Avenue in Kelowna. Tickets are $25. All proceeds from the evening will support several of CORC’s upcoming sponsorships, including families from Syria, Yemen, and Burundi.
