For the fourth year, Kelowna will be hosting a hip-hop culture festival at Stuart Park. The Fresh Coast Festival is bringing musicians, artists and performers to the downtown park on July 20th, in partnership with LMNO Productions Coast-to-Coast Foundation.
“Our mission is to inspire the youth through expression and bridge the different cultures through a healthy, safe community event,” the event organizer says in a press release. While the event originally started as a breakdance competition, it has since expanded in to a “well-rounded hip hop culture festival.” With break dance battles, bboys and bgirls will be traveling from all over Canada to come and compete for prizes.
The day will also have vendors, food trucks, and artists on hand. The free event takes place at the outdoor skating rink in Stuart Park on July 20th.
