Local musicians got together earlier in the week and recorded a song “They Haven’t Heard The Last Of Me” in protest of new proposed busking city bylaws. This rollickingly righteous song is available for download by donation over at Joshua Smith’s Bandcamp page with all proceeds going towards the Kelowna Arts Council.

The bylaws went through first, second and third readings back on the March 26th council meeting, and everyone thought that was that. However after much pushback from the community, Mayor Basran noticed the need for more public consultation, especially with the arts community on busking. Joshua Smith says “the city is revising the passed law and may make some changes if we are loud enough”. This new song speaks volumes.
